Sign on CHAdeMO charger says "Due to extensive building works on this site, this charging point will no longer be available from 1St April. we apologise for any inconvenience caused".

This seems to be used primarily by nissan staff. No rfid needed. Sign on machine requesting users to vacate rapid charger bay after 30 minutes.

Charged today and it was working and in good condition. I didn't need a card to use it although it was during the day, so it might be different at night.

Important Notice (For Other Users) Charged Successfully

Sunday 13Apr2014 - Security guard (from the Renault building) a bit reluctant to allow me to charge but was eventually persuaded to let me use ChaDeMo charger on my 2011 i-Miev (Ion). However, had a problem trying to charge as none of the LED lights (inc 'Ready') not on as it always has been when I have used it before but unit had power as fans were whirring and screen said "Nissan Rapid Charger' or something similar. Mr Grumpy helpfully sorted it out for me by touching the screen which apparently woke up the unit from some sort of stand-by mode. Charged fine thereafter. MW

I just phoned Nissan HQ Reception on 01923 899 999 and was told that the Chademo charger was working and available 24h.

I was told last night by the Nissan rep who gave me my car that this fast charger is currently out of action but that it is normally available 24h, just phone first.

Important Notice (For Other Users)

As of 5/9/2012 this unit is not operational. When you ring ahead first the receiption staff don't always get informed if it is working properly. Make sure you get them to ask the people in charge. If there is a problem here there is a another (restricted access) charger at WD18 9BL, but best to authorisation from HQ receiption first.
